This need can arise in several ways e.g. through risk assessment, industry good practice and via strategy requirements for particular work activities. In addition to compliance, staff training and development brings tangible business benefits. It also helps with a completion of tender documents and questionnaires. We offer a mix of nationally accredited courses and customised in house training sessions. All details of our courses are given below.
IOSH Working Safely
We are pleased to offer "Working Safely", the highly regarded IOSH (The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Certificated training course, to clients who are committed to the career development of supervisors and managers.
This topical and interactive course will give delegates the skills to contribute effectively to health and safety in the workplace and an understanding of their individual responsibilities.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
This course is essential for nominated first aiders, appointed persons and those in need of an update. The course equips delegates with the basic first aid skills required in the workplace. Assessment is continuous and the certificate is valid for 3 years. The training is very practical and delegates are required to demonstrate procedures on the floor. Practical clothing such as trousers and flat shoes should be worn.
First Aid at Work
This course is suitable for medium to high risk environments. The training complies with the requirements of The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, and the associated Code of Practice.
Aim: To enable candidates to give adequate and efficient first aid to a casualty in the workplace following an injury or illness.
First Aid at Work Re-Qualification - 2 Days
The course is for those who want to renew a first aid at work certificate. The training updates and refreshes knowledge of the First Aid at Work Syllabus.
Time is allowed for revision and practice sessions in preparation for a final assessment.
Successful candidates receive the HSE approved First Aid at Work Certificate valid for three years.
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health

- Level 2 Award in Manual Handling
Asbestos Awareness - 3 Hours
This short, focussed Course is ideal for employees who may come across asbestos in their daily work. By having employees attend this course, the employer can show that training has been provided in line with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006. Attendance will also satisfy accreditation bodies (e.g. SSIP) and Principal Contractors, Clients etc. that employees have been given suitable training.
Paediatric First Aid Training Course – 12 hours
This comprehensive 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course has been designed for individuals who provide care for babies and children under 8 years old. The course meets the Ofsted requirements for registered childminders. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.
